LITHOPS DO'S & DON'TS SUMMARY

Well hello there! Now that you've learned more about the in's and out's of Lithops, here's a handy list of summary on how to care for your Lithops.

Do's

  1. Do give Lithops plenty of bright & indirect light.
  2. Do move them steadily up to the window a little at a time over a period of about 2 weeks or so if you've previously kept them in partial sun.
  3. Do use a coarse, well-drained substrate.
  4. Do use porous soil; note that very excellent drainage can be attained by the addition of extra pumice or other coarse material.

Don'ts

  1. Do not overwater your plant. It will swell and likely split. This means goodbye to your beloved butt plant as the plant must be discarded and replaced.
  2. Do not water or fertilize your plant when it is producing new leaves. Doing so will disrupt the process (give a girl/ guy some peace & quiet geez).

Lithops may seem daunting and foreign at first, but with the proper education and patience, you can (and will) rule them all! Please I'm like a broken recorder, but please! keep a keen eye to the watering requirements with this plant. I cannot emphasise this enough! If you have any questions about Lithops or other succulents, please direct message me at https://sg.carousell.com/minilove Please include pictures of the plant(s) in question if at all possible! Till next week, peace friends! 🙃
